Poseidon Outer Reef Cruises
is owned and
operated by a Port Douglas family with over 28 years of
experience in the local snorkel and dive industry.
Founders of Poseidon, Peter and Barbara Wright, did much
of the exploratory diving on the Northern Great Barrier
Reef, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands in the
1980's with their original dive vessel "Scheherazade"
and pioneered Outer Reef Snorkelling and Diving Cruises
in the Port Douglas area.
Poseidon continues to strive for excellence in personal
service with a team of dedicated and experienced crew,
all sharing the passion for showing visitors the very
best reef experience.
Poseidon has access to the best reef locations with over
45 sites to choose
from. THREE spectacular
sites are visited each day. The
Agincourt Ribbon Reefs, located on the very outer edge
of the reef, are renowned as the place to go for crystal
clear water, spectacular coral gardens and a huge
variety of marine life.
Poseidon attracts the most discerning
traveller with high expectations of the
Great Barrier Reef, a world heritage site,
offering a choice of snorkelling,
introductory and certified diving.
Poseidon has one of only 3 day permits to
swim with Dwarf Minke Whales.

bommies . . .lots of underwater action!
